GAME OVER

GAME OVER

I have never reposted a blog before. And if I have it certainly wasn’t two months after the initial publication. But the man who wrote this wonderful blog died suddenly yesterday.  Carl Rahn Griffith was a very insightful man. He came upon some difficult times. He learned a lot and he writes about it with clarity and wisdom. I am reposting it today in his honor and his memory. Take some time, read it, learn from Carl.  And cherish the day… Read More

THANK YOU AGAIN – OPRAH

THANK YOU AGAIN – OPRAH

A total surprise – our Super Soul Sunday episode ran again yesterday on the Own Network. Not only did it bring many new people on to this site, it catapulted us back up to number one in recovery on Amazon in one day. The power of Oprah is amazing. The support from the Own Community, The Super Soul Sunday Ambassadors and followers have helped keep this book in the public eye long after publication.  We want to express our deepest… Read More

WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog. I’m sorry to have been missing in action. An extra full plate is partially responsible. Endless blessings. But, I experienced something a few days ago that lit a fire and made me want to share it with you. I’m sometimes obsessed with time passing. I often retrace my life back to events that have led to especially meaningful moments or milestones. I wrote an earlier blog about it. I concluded… Read More

MEMORIAL DAZE

MEMORIAL DAZE

May 19th Tracey and I recorded a podcast with Randy Cohen.  An enjoyable visit with an interesting man. During a break I rather casually mentioned that it was the anniversary of my fathers death.  “Today?  May 19th?” Tracey asked. I answered “Yes, in 1954. Two days before his 60th birthday.”  It had quietly and almost clinically occurred to me. We nodded respectfully and the conversation moved on. It was one of those moments when a memory surprises you by its… Read More

LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

After his upset loss in the ring, the boxer was asked by a reporter “what happened to your fight plan?”. He replied “ Everybody has a plan until they get hit.” When life hits me hard, sometimes I forget what I learned as a child. And when I’m out of sorts, if I take pause and meditate on each line of this song, it helps me back up.   Row, row, row your boat, Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily,… Read More

GIFT OR CHORE?

GIFT OR CHORE?

We are all so busy. Life moves so fast. It often goes from hectic to frantic to out of control. We are trying to do so many things in the course of a day. We have work to get done. Many of us have kids who need our attention, houses to maintain, places to go, people to see, things that need doing pronto if not sooner. And then if you are like me, I’m trying to do things slowly, sometimes,… Read More
