BREAK THE NORMS

BREAK THE NORMS

Gratitude and Trust’s friend and speaker at last year’s #140 Conference Chandresh Bhardwaj has a new book out.

Break the Norms is the first book by spiritual leader.  Chandresh comes from a long line of spiritual masters, yet in this book he has the courage to question the teachings of certain spiritual practices, but he he spins it around and places the focus on us, on our inner lives.

Have you ever felt like you’re living out a script written for you by others-in your work, your relationships, or spirituality? “To break through the norms we’ve been conditioned to believe is an act of rebellion,” writes Chandresh Bhardwaj. “It is not about being stubborn or ‘bringing down the man.’ It’s about following your soul’s deepest longing. It’s about making a decision to question what you’ve been told is true.”

There are no “right answers” in spirituality, but asking the right questions can help us discover who we are and what we are becoming. In Break the Norms, Chandresh illuminates the unconscious beliefs we carry about matters of sex, death, love, ego, God, and gurus-then offers penetrating questions and self-inquiry practices to help us separate our own truth from the products of the status quo.

This quoted comes from GoodReads but I could not have said it better.

Chandresh is practical, spiritual and wise.  He is not new age, but is of his age and he approaches the whole issue of spirituality accordingly.

I highly recommend Break The Norms if you want a terrific book that will lead you to places you might have avoided….your inner life.

“Instead of focusing on being in a religion or not, choose to follow your inner voice.”

~Chandresh Bhardwaj
